Cook, who has also played for the Broncos in the Taiwan Provincial League, specifically discussed the circumstances surrounding his departure from the Warriors after the 2018-19 season. He revealed that he had initially agreed to accept a qualifying offer from the Warriors, intending to return for the following season. However, just as he signed the offer, the Warriors management retracted the contract and terminated the deal.

The Lakers' transformation of the lineup during this offseason is obviously not enough. In other words, they did not strengthen the core rotation lineup at all.
